MEDICAL CARE?

The first rheumatologist I saw was located in Napa, Khurram Abbass, now in the San Jose area. He first diagnosed me with Lupus, hooray for him. He at least gave me the tests, being a rheumatologist he sees everything as a autoimmune disease and therefore tested for it. But when I came back with the Lupus diagnosis, he gave me five different drug prescriptions, one of them, I believe included an antidepressant. I said OK, let me think about this and he stiffened up and said something like, what, why?

I said that I have had this condition for over 30 years with symptoms that doctors dismissed, I need to understand what these drugs are. He seemingly became enraged and basically stormed out of the room.

Instead of taking mere few minutes to explain the importance of each drug or which one should be a priority he was insulted that I apparently was not an obedient patient. Obedient is the word and basically he was another bully of a doctor claiming to practice healthcare. Practicing drugs only is negligible. At least he did give me prescriptions that may or may be appropriate than just leaving me completely in pain or dysfunction.
