GONE BY LISA GARNDER
Gone
by Lisa Gardner
Great mystery story of a few law enforcement agencies and their people involved in the search for one of their own who has been kidnapped. Good people involved with each other and authentic people. I liked her kind of writing. Will have to read some more.
FATAL ERROR BY J.A. JANCE
Fatal Error
by J.A. Jance
Really very good and captivating. A friend is having problems with alcohol and with a fiance that ends up getting murdered. Then the friend disappears after the murder, is kidnapped by the killer. The fiance has other fiances and is involved in missile use with this couple. The newly graduate of the police academy; is on the search for her missing friend and the mystery behind this man with all the fiances.
STEVE JOBS
The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs
by Carmine Gallo
Sharing with us the magic behind the Steve Jobs keynote talks and how he prepares and directs them. Very repetitive in telling his perception yet not clear on exact forms though. I got more from his podcasts on the subject. I have an idea that this book is an advertisement for Gallo to hire him to help your business.
BALTIMORE BLUES BY LAURA LIPPMAN
Baltimore Blues
by Laura Lippman
Again this young woman who was a reporter acts a private investigator to help her best friend off of murder charges. He is also her coach for boating racing. She lives with her aunt above her aunt's bookstore. Suspenseful and interesting. Her dealings with unethical and dishonest attorneys were all negative. There are silly ordinary things this author sets this protagonist up to and it does not make sense. Most of all I did not like it and it made the entire book elementary in quality. It was very sexist. About a fellow boater that is engaged to a woman that seems to be something other than the person she is suppose to be, an attorney besides that.

HUG YOUR CUSTOMERS BY JACK MITCHELL
IN A SUNBURNED COUTNRY BY BILL BRYSON
In A Sunburned Country
by Bill Bryson
He is an amazing story teller and this is basically a tour guide of Australia. It does not make me want to book a flight there since the stories of danger in it's land are out right frightening although I laughed with Bryson's description. Smiled actually all the way through out the book. Bryson has an incredible vocabulary of description.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
by Stephen R. Covey
Of course, very useful information on organizing ones life spiritually and creatively with much thoughtful planning. He truly believes in maintaining a good balanced life for success in family and business as well as just life in every aspect.
FIRE & ICE BY J.A. JANCE
Fire & Ice
by J.A. Jance
Good story again. This one is about the female sheriff discovering the mystery of the death of a man and the missing woman who is the sister of a deputy. Several crimes are interwoven into one from several jurisdictions and other law enforcement personal. Good people, good story. Involved drugs, prostitution and small time Mexican mafia.
BUCHER'S HILL
BUTCHER'S HILL
by Laura Lippman
Not as interesting as her other book that I have read. This story is about an old man who was accused of shooting a 11 year old kid when he and the kid and his little gang of foster children were destructing the old man's car. There are some twists to what was thought as a simple shooting incident. The old man goes to prison and the story is still a mystery. This female private detective is hot on the trail to find the truth. She is also looking for a child that was given up for adoption for a young woman.
SECRETS OF EDEN BY CHRIS BOHJALIAN
Secrets of Eden
by Chris Bohjalian
Interesting family affairs of a young mister and his relationship with a married woman. A woman beaten by her husband and then ends up murdered. But by who, her husband of course, but then he is murdered, or did he commit suicide. Then the relationship with an author of stories of angels appears as a new quest of the minister. Then the secrets come up of many women involved, one including the daughter of the deceased. Great writer and very entertaining with interesting relationships and the mystery of secrets.

MAJOR PETTIGREW'S LAST STAND - A NOVEL
Major Pettigrew's Last Stand: A Novel
by Helen Simonson
Dear Major Pettigrew
I loved this book about a delightful upper class Englishman, who is long time widowed and his relationship with a dark skinned Pakistani woman in their small rural country side town. Silent lives before become enriched with each others company. A soft and gentle life they have now.

NAPA IN THE SPRING
A time to reflect, but mainly a time to spring forward into the life of our best self. This is a new season with great possibilities. The economy is improving and more people are working. Now I trust that they will all get better organized and call upon us at RC CABINETS & CLOSETS of San Francisco and Napa - Sonoma of course. Hooray for Hollywood.

I'D KNOW YOU ANYWHERE
I'd Know You Anywhere
by Laura Lippman
Distressful story of a woman who's rapists shows up in her life twenty years later to see her and talk to her. She has a nice family of her own, a loving husband and he has an agenda she needs to explore. The story goes back and forth from the time of the event and the present time. Wonderful ending. It turns out to be a book of a woman's empowerment.
